Construction Certificates - FAQs
A CC confirms that construction drawings and specifications are consistent with the DA consent and relevant NCC requirements. It is required before building work starts.
An OC allows occupation or use of a building, or part of a building, after the Principal Certifier is satisfied statutory requirements have been met.
No. A CDC combines planning and construction approval. A CC is generally required when the project has DA approval.
Avoid 'Interim OC'. For staged projects, an Occupation Certificate may be issued for an eligible completed part if statutory requirements are satisfied.
